You are confusing Gothic with Emo..
Emos are attention seekers who cry all day and moan about weird shit.
You do not have to Black hair and make up and a white skin to be an Emo.

Actually, from what I've seen, all the tr00 emo kids have that gothic look.
How often does Fiery cry and moan about weird shit? Tell me. Are you a personal friend of his so you can monitor all of his actions?

Opeth11, Let me make something clear.
I am NOT a friend of Fiery and nor will I ever be one. I dislike him to the fullest, he is a liar and just an ass.
He doesn't even listen to Punk Rock bands, those bands he listens to are more Emo then Punk Rock.
Read some of his posts.. he says the weirdest shit EVER..

I have read many of his posts, and some may be weird, but rarely have any of them whined, bitched, or moaned. He likes to listen to what you think is "emo", so he must be emo, right?
So. if a person is what they listen to, then I must be a satanist. Right.

panic at the disco and fall out boy aren't even emo. if you want to know to some emo bands try Brand New or Armor For Sleep. -_- IMO emo people aren't really that bad, but instead, the people who act like an overexaggerated stereotypical emo because they think it's cool, who are.

Just looked up "emo" on Wikipedia, and found this:
Correctly or not, emo has often been used to describe such bands as AFI, Alexisonfire, A Static Lullaby, Brand New, Coheed and Cambria, Fall Out Boy, Finch, From Autumn to Ashes, From First to Last, Funeral for a Friend, Hawthorne Heights, Matchbook Romance, My Chemical Romance, Panic! At The Disco, Silverstein, Something Corporate, The Starting Line, Taking Back Sunday, The Used, Thrice, and Thursday. The classification of bands as "emo" is often controversial. Fans of several of the aforementioned bands have recoiled at the use of the "emo" tag, and have gone to great lengths to explain why they don't qualify as "emo". In many cases, the term has simply been attached to them because of musical similarites, a common fashion sense, or because of the band's popularity within the "emo" scene, not because the band adheres to emo as a music genre.
According to that, it's pretty damn hard to determine what's truely "emo".

Wait... are you saying that this girl is serious?? That this video isn't a complete mockery of the 'emo' condition?
OMG, if this is serious... LMAO I literally cannot stop laughing! I've never seen people THIS bad! I swear if I saw her IRL, I would not be able to control my laughter, I would be literally rolling on the floor!
Oh, and for all the people that believe they ARE what they LISTEN to, a word of advice: don't worry, this is just a phase. One day you will grow up. I promise.
Stereotypes FTL.

You don't need those things to be gothic either...
I used to hate emo kids. But I have been meeting more of them lately through friends (probably due to the growing popularity) and I have meet some pretty swell people who happen to be Emo. The culture itself is still not very appealing to me though, especially the music *shudder*
Cyber Punk > All other sub-cultures.

I think the bolded bands aren't that bad/decent. I have seen a lot of emo bashing online and it seems like the 'in' thing to do but it seems a bit retarded coming from members of other sub-cultures. Maybe I don't know many of the retarded emos (maybe they tend to be younger *ducks the flying chairs* but it could just be an overlap with the inevitable teenage condition) but I don't like all the bashing of them. I have to admit the emo song ytmnd did crack me up though "can't 2 or 4 guys make out without being gay" LMAO.

Man at my highschool I was there from the day it opened its doors in 2002. Everybody seemed to be there selves the 1st year. Next year BAM wiggers galore. Year after that punk rockers seemed to pop out all over the place. My 11th grade year wiggers, punk rockers, and a lot of nerdish people. Senior year, wiggers, emo kids, nerds, and gays/bisexuals all over o.O
I'm so glad I graduated finally
